H.R. Gerrard is one of Grand Junctions resident homeless, born in 1958, he is a self taught artist.  He has learned his craft from various books and has studied works by Frazetta, Vallejo, Whelan, Giger, Brummer, Degas, and Magritte.  The medias he works with are:  Graphite, pen and ink, colored pencil, pastel, oil pastel, watercolor, acrylic, and airbrush.

“ I enjoy imaginative illustration, and figurative painting that tells adventurous stories and situations.  Vibrant color and illuminative applications of media is what I strive for.  I love the act of painting or drawing as much as the end result of my efforts.”
