Carol Bowker
Carol Bowker
Carol’s style of painting is mostly realistic, yet somewhat impressionistic at times. She usually paints in oils but enjoys acrylics, watercolors, pastels, and pencil. Carol does her painting in a unique turn of the century renovated barn near Crawford, CO. Carol studied at the Ridgeway School of Art and has taken numerous workshops, and private lessons. Since 2001 Carol has consistently won Honors including best of show in Lake City and Ouray competitions.
“Through my paintings, I can reach out to people. Many times I’ve had people tell me that my paintings ‘talk to them’. We all need to be reminded that there are still places that offer peace and tranquility in the midst of all the chaos in this world. If my paintings can take the viewer there, even fro just a moment, then I have truly been successful as an artist”-Carol Bowker
